I need to be focused into a game.Īnother reason why I love it is the switching mechanic. Double Dash requires too much attention, which is good. I can talk and play Mario Kart 8, but I cannot talk and play Double Dash. Whenever I play them, I'm usually not focused in, as my brain can just autopilot and win. Not to insult modern Mario Kart games, but they're a bit too easy. One of the reasons I like Mario Kart: Double Dash is the gameplay. But after playing every single cup, let me tell you, Mario Kart: Double Dash is probably my favorite Mario Kart game now, or atleast the concept is. Using X and Y instead of the Z button (L on modern consoles) confused me. At first, I started getting used to the controls. Although Double Dash did have an interesting concept, switching characters seemed irrelevant and more like busy work (note this was before I played the game). I've played MKDS, MKWII, MK7, MK8, and MK8DX (most of the modern Mario Kart games) as well as the the Mario Kart games for the SNES, N64, and GameBoy Advance. Before I played the game, I always thought it was probably overrated. However, through a few methods, I've played these games.Ībout two days ago, I played Mario Kart: Double Dash. Most of which consists on consoles that existed before I was born. For the longest time, I've been on a quest to play every majorly popular Nintendo game ever.
